The big pot

$100

1 gift so far. Updated November 1, 2026.

One light per gift.

Why this page is here.

I want to use this website's traffic for good. It is the holidays, the time of giving. Somebody out there needs food, or a gift for a kid, or help with rent or a car bill, and cannot afford it this year. Another visitor may have money and be feeling generous, and can cover it. This page puts the two together.

I will start it off with a $100 donation. It is trackable and as open as I can make it: it lists everybody's gift, you can go anonymous if you want, and the big pot shows the total. Buy a toy for a child, and around December 20 I will film myself giving the toys to local families who need them.

Josh

Where a gift goes.
Three pots, one ledger.

Nobody's payment details are ever posted here. Money moves to a charity, to a vendor, or to a toy in a kid's hands, and every move gets one line in the ledger.

  1. Pot 1

    The toy drive

Gifts go straight to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation's drive page, not to us. Their receipt, their tax deduction, their public total. We mirror it here.

  2. Pot 2

    The local handoff

Josh buys toys and hands them to local families around December 20, and films it with written consent. Gifts marked for this pot pay for those toys.

    Requests

Nominate a family below. The request stays private. If it is paid, Josh pays the landlord, the utility or the store directly, never cash, and the ledger gets one anonymized line.

Know someone who needs help with a bill, groceries or a gift this season? Tell us here. Nothing you type on this form is shown publicly. Josh reads it, calls you, and if it is paid, the ledger shows one line with no names, like "Paid a power bill in Jacksonville, $140."

Private. Not posted, not shared, not sold. Josh pays vendors directly, never cash to a person. Requests are read in the order they arrive and not every one can be paid.

Pot 1

The toy drive.

Toys go through the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, a registered charity that has done this for decades. Your gift goes to their drive page, you get their receipt, and their total shows on their page and here. Local campaigns usually collect until about mid December and hand out the week before Christmas.

Pot 2

The handoff video.

Dec 20 is the target. Josh buys the toys, hands them to local families who need them, and posts the video here and on AIM's socials.

Filmed only with written consent. No child's face unless the parent signs for it. Families who would rather not be on camera get the same toys and no camera. The video shows what the money did, not who needed it.

AIM Foundations, Inc. is being formed as a Florida nonprofit. We'll update this page when our 501(c)(3) application is filed. No one at AIM Foundations is paid. Josh and the board volunteer their time, and no one takes a profit. The only costs that come out of gifts are card processing fees, government filing fees, and attorney or accountant fees when the law requires them. Everything else goes to families. Giving Tree gifts pay a family's bill or item directly to the landlord, utility or store, never cash to a person. Our general fund pays the card fees on Giving Tree gifts, so the full amount of your Giving Tree gift goes to the family's bill. You can tick a box to add 3 percent to cover the card fee, which helps keep the general fund healthy. If the general fund ever can't cover fees, we will say so on this page first, and gifts already given keep this promise. General fund gifts pay those costs and help families with everything left over. Every gift and every payment goes on our public ledger, and each year we post a report showing exactly how much went to families and how much went to costs.
